Udta Punjab is Indian neo-noir drama thriller film produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures. It tells the story of substance abuse in the Indian state of Punjab.
Mirror (April 2) had earlier reported that Alia Bhatt is playing a Bihari migrant who comes to Punjab and works as a laborer even as she harbors dreams of becoming a hockey player. Mirror has learnt that Shahid portrays a rock star, who gets embroiled in a drugs controversy. Abhishek Chaubey worked with Shahid Kapoor Earlier in film Kaminey and now one more time they together all set to Buzz the Town.
