Jaanisaar Movie Reviews: Glittering Body Lacks the Soul
Umrao Jaan director Muzaffar Ali back with Jaanisaar, Love saga revolutionary courtesan of Avadh, India. Movie starts with the Voice of Naseeruddin Shah who explains the British attack on Indian Culture and Heritage to rule over. Movie stars the Imran Abbas as Ameer, Pernia Qureshi as Noor, Muzaffar Ali as Meer Sahab and few more stars.
Raja Ameer Haider as a kid believe that his parents were very loyal and then he sent their to grown. After yeas, dashing prince comes back to the Awadh and fall in love with the revolutionary courtesan of Avadh Pernia Qureshi who plays the role as Noor. Later Prince realized that he was the mere puppet in hands of British rules. Movie Storyline is interesting but it lacks the Soul in the characters.
If we Talks about the Performance of Star cast, Imran Abbas as Ameer just awesome but Pernia Qureshi as Noor didn’t fit into the character. She can’t able to feel the character and she needs more acting skills. Movie lead character must be powerful and needs ability to get into the character to give the real feeling with heart but audience didn’t find it in actress. Muzaffar Ali as Meer Sahab did appreciated job and other supportive cast performance was average.
If we Talk about the costumes of the characters, its just awesome. Pernia Qureshi considered well while costume designing as she is the fashion stylist and costume designer by profession.

In short Movie characters has the Glittering Body Lacks the Soul. So there are only few positive points and more negative points. Movie released in Hindi and Urdu and Box office Business is not expected much as per the reviews by Viewers. People expected much more after the Jaanisaar Trailer, They were curious to explore more about the Masterpiece but it didn’t happened.

Director did fantastic job in Blockbuster film Umrao Jaan in 1981 starring the very talented actress Rekha but fails to do magic again. Its better to watch the Umrao Jaan again instead of the Jaanisaar. Box office Bull Team gives the 3 stars out of 5 to the film. Have you Watched the film How do you think ?
