Desi Sonam Kapoor with Pop Queen Beyoncé in Music Single

Bollywood Actress Sonam Kapoor played cameo role in one of the song of Album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ by rock band coldplay. Its Sonam Kapoor’s Debut English music single and she had great opportunity to opening the door to the English world. Coldplay band were here in Mumbai for shooting the music video for single ‘Hymn for the Weekend’ produced by Simpson, Stargate and Digital Divide. Sonam will be seen doing desi avatar and Beyoncé as pop queen.

While talking to a leading daily, she said, “I love Coldplay’s music and so does the world. It was a huge honour to be a part of the video. It’s a great concept and I had a lot of fun shooting for it.”

Its been also noted that Sonam Plays a mystical muse where she gone all Desi in song.  Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor too was quoted saying, “They zeroed in on a desi look with Sonam in a ghagra choli and wearing the traditional mang tika and a nose ring.” Its been further noted that Sonam shot for a day in last October at Golfa Devi Temple in Worli and the Vasai fort.

This single is a Follow up to album’s first track ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’ from album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ The lead singer, Chris Martin originally wanted the song to be a party song with lyrics like “drinks on me, drinks on me”, but his bandmates didn’t think that would go well with their fans. Beyoncé, who was Martin’s longtime friend, was asked to sing on the song, and she accepted the request. (Source: Bollywood life)
