Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan’s Next Film Gets a Release Date

A Few Month back there was the news that Piku Actors Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone reunited for Vishal Bhardwaj’s film and now the Release Date of the film has been locked for the year 2018.

Yes, Vishal Bhardwaj – KriArj co-production Project gets the release date and Scheduled to Release on 2nd October 2018 on Gandhi Jayanti. It is the Mafia based film Scheduled for Holiday Weekend release.

The film will be helmed by debutant Honey Trehan. The Script of the film, based on Femme Fatale, a story in S Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, is structured by Bhardwaj and Rohan Narula.

According to a report in a leading daily, Deepika was doubtful about working with first-timer Honey Trehan but the script left her wowed. She will start shooting for it after Padmavati.

Vishal Bharadwaj in a statement to the leading daily said, “Deepika had been persuading me to write the script and make a film on ‘Femme Fatale’. I’m happy that she loved the script and agreed to work with Honey on this.”

He also added, “Irrfan is an incredible actor. I’m looking forward to the two of them coming together in this film. Honey has been with me for than 15 years. I am sure he will add interesting nuances to the script.”

Release Date – 2nd October 2018
