Preeti Gupta in Unfreedom: Yet Another Controversy girl in Town

After the Radhika Aapte, one more Celebrity Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki fame Preeti Gupta becomes the talk of the town by her recently released film Unfreedom which is banned for India release because of the Sexuality contents and Violence in the film. Previously Censor board suggested Raj Amit Kumar, to cut out the Sensitive scenes in the film but director refused to do that, due to that reason film has been banned in India release and Released in United States on 29th May.

Movie Trailer Gone viral on the Internet even though it passed thorough ban and Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki Actress fall in controversy as she has the ‘lesbian kissing’ and ‘nude scenes’ which is shown in the movie Trailer itself. Movie is based on the “Ye Dagh Dagh Ujala” Peom by Faiz Ahmad Faiz. As per the Medianama and wiki update, The story revolves around a Muslim fundamentalist in New York who kidnaps a liberal Muslim scholar with an intent to kill, while a closeted lesbian in New Delhi kidnaps her bisexual lover with the intent to love. The resulting torture and violence evokes a brutal struggle of identities against “unfreedom”.

Movie has been shot in New york and Delhi but due to violations of the Censor board Guidelines, film has completely banned for India release. Film gets the low rating in the Foreign country but its the Movie with some inspirational message at the end.
