Zee Tv is back with Season 2 of Singapore Dancer Talent Hunt show. Yeah, We are talking about Dance Singapore Dance 2. In Last Season we have seen the Shakti Mohan, Zaini Mohammad Tahir were the Judges and the charismatic KP was the Host. Now Mudassar Khan, Sreedevy Sivarajasingam all set to Hunt the next Dance Sensation of Singapore 2016. Meet the Top 12 Dancers of DSD 2, Host and the Judges of the Show for 2016 Season.
Dance Singapore Dance meets an Amazing Aspiring Dancer Contestants from Various Background and Countries. Top 12 Contestants Selected and now It’s Going to be an amazing Dance Battle among the Selected Passionate Dancers.
Dance Singapore Dance 2 Hosts
1) Emcee KP – Hosted Season 1 and now is back
2) Sehar Rida Hashmi– Saher blew our minds with her moves in Season 1. Now, she is back to Dance Singapore Dance as a host for Season 2.
Dance Singapore Dance 2 Judges
1) Mudassar Khan –
Bollywood’s legendary choreographer Master Mudassar Khan who remained mentor in Dance India Dance and did amazing Choreography in Bollywood films like PRDP, Dabangg, Ready, BodyGuard, Fugly, Kick, Fan and more. He is All set to Hunt the next Dance Icon of Singapore
2) Sreedevy Sivarajasingam –
Singapore’s very own legendary dancer Sreedevy Sivarajasingam will be joining us as a judge during our season 2 of Dance Singapore Dance. She Started learning dance when she was 7 years old. She graduated with a Certificate in Dance in 1986. She is primarily trained in Bharatanatyam style of dance.
Also, These talented Judges will be Joined by Guest Judge Every week. Some of the names include Zaini Tahir, Najip Ali, Haslinda Ali and Daisy Irani.
Dance Singapore Dance 2 (DSD 2) Top 12 Contestants
After the Auditions round, Top 12 Contestants Selected and Divided into 2 Groups. Each group will be mentored by the Guru mentors aka Choreographers.
1) Ali Anwar – Ali Anwar, a passionate artist who loves Bollywood and his passion for performance stems from his deep love for Hindi cinema
2) Adam Azali – Adam Azali, a gifted dancer adept in performing Jazz, Chinese, Malay and Bollywood
3) Gauraangi Chopra – Gauraangi Chopra, a trained classical dancer and musician who aspires to have her own production house
4) Joseph – Joseph, a cool bar tender by profession, a passionate dancer at heart
5) Joshua – Joshua, a freelance dancer proficient at popping, locking and hip-hop, as well as a first runner-up in Arts convention, LA
6) Luvenia Nikki – Luvenia Nikki, a professional dancer with Maya Dance theatre. Currently pursuing a diploma in Indian Classical Dance from Nirtyalaya Aesthetics Society
7) Mumtaz Angullia – Mumtaz Angullia, former air hostess, now a nurse and bhangra dancer, having also debuted in Kollywood (Saroja)
8) Ragesh – Ragesh, an artiste par excellence, is an aficionado of Indian classical and contemporary dance. He strives to popularize Indian classical dance in the international arena.
9) Sheriden Newman – Sheriden Newman, a BFA (Dance) who performs extensively in productions globally, and is also a trainer herself
10) Shivika Jain – Shivika Jain, with her sheer hard work made it to the “Terrific 12” this season and is ready to set the stage on fire with her killer moves.
11) Sufri Juwahir – Sufri Juwahir, a dancer skilled in various forms and founder of a dance initiative (Soul Signature)
12) Neha Josi – Neha Josi, business student in NUS and a spirited dancer trained in various dance forms
Top 12 Contestants Separated into two teams (Mentors of DSD 2)
1) Shyam’s Supersonics – mentored by Dance India Dance Season 4 and Boogie Woogie winner Shyam Yadav
2) Sahil’s Stompers – mentored by famous Indian dancer Sahil Adanaya
The winner will take home SGD 15,000 (USD 11,000), while the first and second runners-up will also be awarded cash prizes. Additionally, each Best Performer every week will be given Trophy as ‘Performed of the Week’
