Mary Kom won Bronze horse award at Stockholm Film Festival
Omung Kumar’s Priyanka Chopra starrer Mary Kom 2014 film won several awards and nominations at various ceremonies across India. Movie is the real life narration of the five-times female World Boxing Champion and Olympic bronze medalist Mary Kom. Film managed to collect 1.04 billion at box office due to great performance by the Priyanka. Movie also been premiered at 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. Additionally the film received the award at stockholm film festival.
Priyanka chopra, in lead role as Boxer draws people’s attention and managed to aware the user about the real Mary Kom’s life. How she struggled in her life and achieve her dreams and desired goals. Its the best inspirational film. 60th Filmfare Awards, the film was nominated for Best Film & Best Actress for Chopra
There are also lot more categories of awards like Lifetime Achievement Award, Stockholm Visionary Award, Stockholm Achievement Award, Audience Award, Rising Star etc. Only limited film got the Bronze horse: Best film award. Mary Kom is in the list. Director Omung Kumar is happy for the success worldwide. Calling the win a “big”, Omung said the film will also be screened at the Indian Film Festival in Sweden next month.
He also added that “Award is very big for us as it bridge the gape between Sweden and India. Mary Kom will again be showcased in Sweden by the Indian Embassy at the Indian Film Festival next month.”
Stockholm International Film Festival is held at Stockholm, Sweden. Film receives the award by jury decision and Mary Kom is the best film which received the Best film award “Bronze Horse“.
